Such assistance was channeled to the Simply Share Foundation which came from the proceeds from the donations of Sailors and Marines taken from their daily food allowance.

The Naval Forces Central of the Philippine Navy were the first responders when typhoon Odette hit communities in Cebu, Bohol, Negros and Leyte last year.
