Bravofilipino | Globe continues to expand its nationwide mobile coverage as part of its long-term commitment to digital inclusion. As of November 2025, Globe’s mobile network now reaches 96.33 percent of the Philippine population. This progress reflects sustained investments in network infrastructure and strategic collaboration with national and local stakeholders.
Despite this reach, around 4 million individuals, equivalent to 3.67 percent of the population, remain in areas with little to no mobile signal, mostly in geographically isolated and far-flung communities. Globe projects further expansion in its coverage as it continues to activate new sites, upgrade existing ones, and work with both national and local government units to enable faster, more targeted deployment.
“Connectivity has become a basic need. For those still waiting to be reached, it’s a lifeline that opens doors to work, learning, financial access, and public services,” said Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz. “We’re committed to supporting the government’s Konektadong Pinoy agenda and are actively working to close the last remaining coverage gaps. We believe that by coming together, we can make universal digital access a reality.”
The company has identified areas where less than 50 percent of the local population currently has coverage. These towns serve as key targets for expansion and are being prioritized based on feasibility, projected impact, and coordination with relevant agencies. Many of them are island municipalities or remote mountain regions that require tailored solutions.
This expanded mobile footprint supports the continued growth of Globe’s mobile data business, which reached a record ₱25.2 billion in revenues in the third quarter of 2025. The company now serves 63.1 million mobile subscribers nationwide, with mobile data accounting for 86 percent of total mobile service revenues. Globe’s ongoing investments include over a thousand new cell sites and extensive 5G upgrades, which allow it to keep pace with the increasing digital needs of households, schools, and businesses across the country.
As more Filipinos rely on mobile connectivity for livelihood, education, commerce, and communication, Globe remains committed to building a future where no one is left offline. The company continues to work with national agencies such as the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), as well as LGUs and development partners, to help close remaining gaps and ensure that digital progress is felt by every Filipino, wherever they are.
