BravoFilipino|Discovery sends support to Taal evacuees|Discovery Hospitality Corporation (DHC) extends support through different kinds of donations to the families affected by the recent Taal eruption.
Donations were gathered from the employees and owners (and even friends) of Discovery Group which consists of: Discovery World Corporation, Discovery Hospitality Group, Discovery Suites, Discovery Country Suites, Discovery Primea, Club Paradise Palawan and Discovery Shores Boracay as well as JTKC Equities.
About 15 employees representing the different brands of the company personally came to the Marasigan Compound, Sta Rita Karsada in Batangas City to give out food like canned goods, noodles, water, bedsheets, blanket and towels, clothes, toys, milk and other essentials. They also served lunch for the evacuees from Taal, Calaca, Lemery Batangas. A total of 60 families (or 200 pax) were served.
Discovery Suites initiated the donation giving. One of the Discovery Hospitality properties, Discovery Country Suites, which is located in Tagaytay was also affected by the eruption.
