Bravo Filipino | The DepEd TV Awards were created to honor exceptional teacher-broadcasters and production teams | 9th of July, 2021 – The Department of Education (DepEd) has introduced the first-ever DepEd TV Awards to acknowledge the excellent work of teacher-broadcasters (TBs) and production teams of the show as it celebrates a year of successful educational broadcasting during the epidemic.
“We are eternally grateful to our teacher-broadcasters and production crews, who have worked relentlessly to keep our students educated despite the circumstances. “The DepEd TV initiative has delivered innumerable stories of our personnel’s resiliency and inventiveness, and we wish to thank them for their service,” said Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones.
The DepEd TV Awards, which will take place on August 20th, the initiative’s first anniversary, will award 50 various honors for kinder, elementary, and secondary TV courses televised between August 2020 and July 2021.
Undersecretary for Administration Alain Del B. Pascua said, “We are encouraging all teacher-broadcasters, production teams, school heads, schools division superintendents, regional directors, and their respective local government units to participate and submit entries for the different categories of awards.”
The DepED TV Awards will be held yearly to motivate TBs and production teams to continue producing high-quality, world-class educational TV lessons, according to Usec. Pascua.
The Outstanding Teacher-Broadcaster Awards (Level-Based and Subject-Based), Broadcast Production Awards, DepEd Core Values Awards, and Special Awards are the four divisions of the DepEd TV Awards.
The Special Awards are intended to recognize the outstanding contributions of DepEd TV TBs, Production Teams, DepEd local offices, schools, and Local Government Units in imparting education through TV-based instruction throughout the epidemic.
The deadline for nominations is July 24, 2021, to allow participants ample time to create additional video courses in addition to the ones that have already broadcast. A panel of distinguished judges will shortlist and analyze three nominated entries per category.
The board of judges for the official entries will be made up of professional journalists, writers, directors, producers, educators, and experts in basic education, broadcasting, and video production to help establish the DepEd TV Awards as a respected award-giving body.
DepEd computers, PLDT smartphones, 100GB connectivity load, and trophies are among the initial rewards for the DepEd TV Awards winners, while other finalists will receive certificates of honor.
The DepEd OUA, with the support of the Information and Communications Technology Service (ICTS), DepEd TV Core Team, Program Managers, Training Team, Production Team, and the EdTech Unit, is in charge of the DepEd TV Awards.
